Peace will Prevail

12 As you enter the home, give it your greeting. 13 If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you. 14 If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town. 15 Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.Matthew 10:12-15



We can learn much about peace from Jesus’ words here to the first 12 disciples prior to sending them out to minister on His behalf. No matter what happens in this life, good or bad, and no matter what others may think or say or do to you, you as God’s son or daughter have the peace that passes all understanding in your heart of hearts. Listen, if your focus is on God and your focus is on living your life in accordance with His will, if this is true for you then nothing can ever take away the peace of God that is miraculously a part of who you are today. Let the peace of God return to you today in the midst of whatever circumstance or relationship issue or financial problem that you are facing today. Spend some time with your Heavenly Father, pour your heart out to Him and let Him worry about the hurdles in this life that seem way too big from your tiny perspective – give them over to God, shake the dust off your feet and let the peace that passes all understanding overflow from your heart once again in order that others will see and believe.
