As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples, 2 saying to them, "Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 3 If anyone asks you, 'Why are you doing this?' say, 'The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly.' "
Mark 11:1-3
I love the beginning of this story as it is a good reminder of how our God knows exactly what we are going to encounter today. In fact, God knows how your entire life will play out; He knows the failures that you will make, the successes that you will enjoy, the hurt that you will encounter – He can see it all because He created it; He created you and He loves you despite your shortcomings and brokenness. He has a plan to mold you and shape you and use your life in an extraordinary way as you just learn to love Him more. So, keep your eyes and your mind focused on God’s Spirit today who lives inside and He will guide and direct your path into the abundant life with Him that He had planned for you before the beginning of time. There is no need to fear the future as Jesus has the crystal ball and His faithfulness is perfect and complete and never-ending and His love will consume you, restore you and never let you go.
