Where is your Faith

That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, "Let us go over to the other side." Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?" He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?"

Mark 4:35-40

I love this story, especially when I read it through the filter of today’s times where the storms of life seem to be never-ending and all around us. Jesus is asking you and I today, just as he asked his disciples some 2,000+ plus years ago, “where is your Faith”? You see, God is still in control of everything that happens to you and me today. As we follow Him by making choices that are in alignment with His will for our lives, He promises to always be there for us as we walk through the storms of life as His children. God cannot change the consequences that happen as a result of us choosing to make decisions apart from Him, but He can and will be sure that we have everything that we need to be fulfilled and joyful in this life if indeed we look His way and follow Him! In the midst of whatever crises or storm or difficult circumstance that you are facing today, give this situation over to God, trust in your creator and friend to pull you though as He will indeed and your life will be richly blessed as a result of putting your faith in Jesus!
