Jesus is Leading the Way

27 Jesus told them, "You're all going to feel that your world is falling apart and that it's my fault. There's a Scripture that says, I will strike the shepherd; The sheep will go helter-skelter. 28 "But after I am raised up, I will go ahead of you, leading the way to Galilee."

Mark 14:27-28

I can’t imagine how the disciples must have felt when Jesus was crucified. These men had left everything in order to follow Him and at this point in the story they really didn’t understand what was happening and why Jesus had to die in order that we all call could be restored in our relationship to the Father. Jesus is warning them here about what is going to happen and I love the last part of His statement which says that He will go ahead of them and lead the way. Jesus is leading the way for you and I today. He has already planted a seed in the hearts of people whom we will come into contact with today that need to hear about and see in action the love of God in our lives. Jesus has already gone into that boardroom this morning to pave the way for that meeting that has been such a burden on your heart; He has gone before you to that job interview; He has gone before you to the school where your kids will learn and grow in their relationship with Him; He has gone already before you to touch the heart of that friend whom you have hurt; He leads the way to healing both physical and spiritual in the hospital and in your home. God knows exactly the circumstances that you will face today and in fact, He has already done His work in order that you can rest in His love knowing full well that His will, will be done in your life and that His power will shine forth as you journey with Him to know and love Him more. Walk with confidence today as your Savior and friend is leading the way to abundant life with Him.
